Grammy Award-winning organist Paul Jacobs is renowned for his virtuosity, depth, and wide-ranging repertoire. The first organist to win a Grammy, he has performed worldwide with leading orchestras like the Chicago Symphony and Philadelphia Orchestra. As chair of Juilliard’s organ department, Jacobs brings his skill and talent to the Forbes Pipe Organ in Harold Miossi Hall for this one-night-only performance.
Community Engagement Programs
Cal Poly Arts brings professional artists direct to schools for K - 12 students in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties to experience the arts in the own classrooms.
Cal Poly students benefit from unique opportunities to engage with world-renowned artists and immersive creative experiences through programs such as master classes, guest artist residencies, discounted student tickets, and our annual Student Assistantship Program.
Cal Poly Arts provides free or low-cost access to live performances and community arts programs for low-income and marginalized communities.

Cal Poly Arts performances are primarily held at the Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo (PACSLO), a state-of-the-art venue on the Cal Poly Campus. Venues include the 1,286-seat Harold Miossi Hall and the 200-seat Pavilion, both located inside the Christopher Cohan Center, as well as the intimate 498-seat Spanos Theatre.
